Briquettes are so convenient and clean. We now no longer buy traditional fire wood logs and only use these hardwood heat logs. Just the fact that we get next to know ash saves us time and work.

We have purchased these hardwood heat logs and heat 12 radiators and heat all our hot water. They are easy to light and have cut our cost from when we were buying logs by nearly 50%.

Thanks for your comment Joe. Bet the sun was out while you were doing it as well. Make sure that the moisture content of your flooring is below 10%. We have had a few people who have used reclaimed materials having problems recently. It its above 10 % let it stand in the dry property a few days before you lay it.

Wish I’d read this before. Installing reclaimed floor in my property and have spent all my week ends for the last 6 months scraping bitumen from the t&g!

Engineered flooring is far out selling our solid oak flooring and works out far cheaper to lay.

I've laid flooring recently and have to say that I was impressed. It is around the same price as the more expensive laminates, just as easy to lay but has a much better 'feel' to it.
